Long ago, before smartphones locked us into a fetal embrace, we humans bought our news on ink-stained sheets of mashed wood-pulp. Guys like me would endure tedium, scorn and fire, asking rude questions daily, in hopes that our deadline scribblings might lend the world a little truth and beauty. That’s what I did before the Internet changed me forever.
